Mobile Service Via SMS

What is Mobile Service via SMS?

Mobile Service via SMS is a value-added service for eLibraryHub members who are also NLB library members. You can manage your library account via SMS anytime, anywhere even when you are on the move.

The service allows you to:
i) Check library accounts

  • Loan summary
  • Overdue items
  • Outstanding fees/fines if any
  • Pre-paid account balance if any
ii) Renew library items
iii) Pay outstanding fees/fines ie. renewal fees and overdue fines
iv) Receive reminders to return library items that will be due soon

Do I have to pay to use Mobile Service via SMS?

Subscription is free till 31 December 2001. Thereafter, there will be an annual service fee of $5.00.

How do I use the service to access my library account, renew library items and pay outstanding fees/fines?

Accessing the service is by mobile phone SMS only.

After you have subscribed to Mobile Service via SMS, you need to key in your personal particulars (NRIC or Membership or FIN number, first name and birth date in the mmyyyy format) in your mobile phone and SMS it to 92379330.
